Timber floors & stairs 14/6/13

The solid timber spotted gum wideboards look great. These needed to be put in before the skirting boards and will be sanded and polished towards the end of the build.  Stairs are currently covered for protection.  Really happy with the amount of storage we have underneath the stairs.

Plastering finished 7/6/13

Plaster hung in a day! 1/6/13

A huge team of workers spent the whole day Saturday hanging the plasterboard for the whole house.  It's really starting to look like a house inside now!

Ground floor render base coat completed 30/5/13

We are having routing done on the front projection as several CG homes do.  We understand the colour render downstairs is finished later to avoid damage whilst works still progressing on site.

Lock up 23/5/13

Hebel finished. Ground floor still to be finished with render and lining board upstairs will be painted later.

Insulation installed.  We also decided to add soundscreen insulation between floors.  Hopefully it will be worth the expense! Electrical fit out completed and AV cables installed. 

Upstairs hebel continues 20/4/13

Upper roof has been completed and upstairs hebel continues.  The upstairs will be colour rendered before the scaffolding comes down.  Plumbing and gas rough in have also been completed.

There has rarely been a day with no one on site - making great progress! No major problems to date, just small issues to nut out.  Really happy with the colour of the roof and the look of our custom facade.

Imagine our surprise to see the framing starting the day after the slab was poured! These guys really fly once they start.  It's exciting to see the actual sizes of rooms and layout after months of looking at plans!
